Day 05: A song that describes you

“She Will Be Loved” - Maroon 5

Every time I hear the first few notes of this song I die a little. It is so beautiful, a wonderful ballad of a person describing of how they almost missed out on life. Each time I listen to this I just hope that someone out there will love me the way I deserve…I feel like I am missing out on something so much larger than my just little world. I tend to hide behind a mask and a facade for people not to see who I really am. I just hope I am brave enough to be a part of another person’s life…

DAY 04: Newest/most modern song you love.

“Rolling in the Deep” - Adele

Adele’s voice has so much power. I just love how much raw talent she has. I am always moving along to the beat and the rhythm of this wonderful song. Adele has a lot of emotion she is trying to share in this song and I can feel where she is coming from. I just can’t explain how much I love it. It is just so perfect.

“Turn my sorrow into treasured gold.
You pay me back in kind and reap just what you sow.”

DAY 03: Oldest song you love.

“Help!” - The Beatles

This is a great song from The Beatles Help! album released in 1965. I just love how it is an upbeat song but yet we all end up looking for help at the end of the day. It is a plea that pleases. I always find myself singing along with this song when it comes on shuffle on my iPod. And this is why I just love it.

“And now my life has changed in oh so many ways.”

DAY 02: Favorite cover song.

“Wonderwall” (Oasis Cover) - Ryan Adams

Ryan has so much emotion in his voice, I can hear the trouble and soul in his voice. He seems like he might be from another world, that gives this song so much more meaning. He is reserving himself, while giving into something that he is afraid of. I love Oasis, but I am amazed at what Adams did with this song.

It just really makes you think if you will ever find that wonderwall, that solid rock in your life. It could be a friend or a lover but you just know they are going to be there when you are breaking down and you the same for them. I have pretty much decided I want to dance to this song at my wedding.

DAY 01: Favorite song with a color in the title.

“Yellow” - Coldplay

This was really tough. I love a lot of music and narrowing it down to just one was just agony. I made a playlist and slowly eliminated the songs I didn’t want anymore. I had the Goo Goo Dolls, Regina Spektor, Placebo, Mumford & Sons, and Jimmy Eat World that almost made it.

Why Coldplay is number one because this is the one of the oldest songs I ever heard of the bunch. I use to listen to this on my cd player on repeat constantly. I remember thinking of someone while silently singing to myself and imagined singing it to them. I still think of that same person when I listen to that song. I think of them so much and so often it hurts sometimes. That is one part of my life I had to close for awhile now, and I don’t think I am going to go back any time soon.
